Otay Ranch Activities - Chula Vista Fun Run at The Olympic Training Center
Chula Vista offers the Chula Vista Fun Run 5k that is held at the Olympic Training Center. The, “Fun Run,” is just that…A LOT OF FUN! This is a great outdoors activity for individuals that live in Otay Ranch and surrounding Chula Vista communities. The entire 5k is ran inside the Olympic Training Center and many of the future Olympians are out there supporting you! This is a great community event that is put on my the Chula Vista Park & Rec Department. Each year this event keeps getting bigger and better.
Fun Run Location
The Chula Vista Community Fun Run (5K) is intended for all levels of runners, while allowing strollers and families to participate in a fun and engaging environment at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center.
The entry fee is very reasonable and usually starts at $10 per participant. The entry fee increases incrementally as the date gets closer to the actual event.
The Fun Run Course
The Chula Vista U.S. Olympic Training Center rests on a 150-acre complex adjacent to Lower Otay Lake in San Diego County. Some Olympic athletes will be present during the event to sign autographs and participate.
The course is five kilometers spread out through the training center areas. Runners, walkers, dogs, families and strollers will weave through the multiple sport venues at the training facility. The sport venues include archery, cycling, field Hockey, BMX, soccer, softball, tennis and track & field.

Gates usually open at 6:30 and the actual race starts at 8:00 am.
Make sure to get there early, since parking is limited.
